If you're interested in whether or not whatever Sullivan did was an official 'bid' or not, then it is relevant to that, yes. I'm personally not interested in that because imo an official 'bid' is just a formality anyway and the whole argument is a sideshow.
The bottom line is we were interested in Carvalho, the transfer didn't complete. I have no problem with that. Others think we should have bid higher, or should have pushed harder - fair enough. There's certainly a chance that Sullivan was less interested in the deal after the poor start - I'd argue he would be sensible to think twice, but others are clearly more critical about that. I'm much more annoyed we didn't properly sort out the strikers at the club for the third year running.

"Next level" does not align with a net spend of under 10 million. Sullivan is taking the pi** :-(
Next level was their promise if we moved. Season 2 and we are as far away from that as we have been for the last 60 years.

I personally think that Sullivan was going through the motions , about buying the player from Sporting, I agree with Sporting that they didn't receive a formal approach and that email is as fake as a 9 bob note. Sullivan pulled out and tried to get a player / players on loan and reading between the lines Bilic was having none of it, he wanted a holding midfield player , and Sullivan trys to bring in players on loan , 4 million net spend in two season , and they blame the manger.

That detail is clearly not irrelevant. Sullivan has come out and said that we made an official approach and afterwards were given an official approch in turn offering us Carvalho for a set amount at the last minute.
If it turns out that all our contacts were via agents then that is massive difference. I could email someone and say I want to sign Lionel Messi for Potters Bar Town FC but that doesn't prove that a deal was ever on the cards.

Was talking to my brother and have heard this from others. Sullivan does a great impersonation of Trump. Bigs up anything he does and blames other for anything that goes wrong or claims it is lies and fake news :-)
Gold kept him in check sometimes but seems Gold is ageing fast and less of an influence. Diddy Dave, like Trump, has money and power but seems to have a psychological weakness which results in him needing lots of appreciation and plaudits. That leads to his constant meddling in areas he knows nothing about.
without therapy little Dave will not change and we will continue to be run as an unprofessional circus. IMO

It makes sense Alex if the agent was taking a bigger cut for getting a cheaper deal for us.
Of course agents are involved in all deals but surely the regulstions are partly about which stage they are involved and how involved they are.
My guess is these emails are to an agent who has instigated the move and is trying to get a cheap price for us.

I think that claiming that anyone who has a different opinion to you is whining/childish because the didn't get what they want is just as pointless and abusive as using the word 'cunt' myself.
I think it's pretty clear that our owners don't have the best interests of the club at heart and that we're disadvantaged as a result. The constant spin just adds insult to injury.
